Infotainment and Technology Features

The new Niro has some excellent tech features available on all trims, including SiriusXM satellite radio, Kia Connect, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. The flagship model combines luxury features including a Harman Kardon sound system, a heads-up display, a HomeLink system, and an electro-chromatic rearview mirror.

Exterior Design

The three trims look very much alike from the outside. The taillights, daytime running lights, and positioning lights are all LED, and the flagship model also has LED fog lights. All models have acoustic laminated windshields and rear privacy tint glass. All trims except the Limited have body-coloured door handles. The Limited has exclusive features, including a sunroof and power-folding side-view mirrors.

Interior Comfort and Cargo Space

Kia has invested in comfort while designing the new Niro. It’s as spacious as an SUV should be and has standard features like heated front seats, tilt, and telescopic steering wheel. The rear seats are foldable, expanding cargo capacity even further.

The Premium+ and Limited trims both offer a synthetic leather steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, and a rear-centre armrest with cupholders. Luxury options include LED interior lighting, air-cooled front seats, and heated rear seats.

Performance Features

All models have a 64.8 kWh battery with a battery heating system. This battery has a maximum range of 407 km, with an energy consumption of 1.9 L / 100km in urban areas and 2.3 L / 100km on highways. The battery has three levels of charging capacity, ranging between 43 minutes (fast charge) and 57 hours (120V). All trims use a single-speed reduction gear transmission.

Safety and Driver Assistance Features

All models are equally safe, with seven airbags, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, blindspot monitoring, and smart cruise control. The new Niro also has a tire pressure monitoring system and anti-lock brakes. The Limited has front parking sensors, rear parking collision assist, and rain-sensing wipers.
