What’s New?


The new Kia Soul brings new colours and several interior design updates. The front fascia has been redesigned. There are also new fog lamps and daytime running lamps. This lineup is also safer than the previous one, with more driving assists becoming standard. The entire lineup can now count on pedestrian detectors, forward collision avoidance, and more.

Performance and Drivability


All trims have the same 2.0-litre Multi-Point Injection (MPI) engine, delivering 147 hp and a torque capacity of 132 lb-ft. The intelligent variable transmission (IVT) is standard for the whole lineup. Regarding fuel efficiency, you can expect to spend 8.5 L/100 km in the city and 7.0 L/100 km on highways. Kia makes driving a comfortable experience with electric power steering, leather-wrapped steering wheels, and electronic stability control (ESC).

Infotainment


Kia has a proud tradition of building hi-tech vehicles, and the new Kia Soul isn’t different. There are several luxury features available across the lineup as standard. These include a six-speaker audio system with an 8.0-inch display and a 4.2-inch LCD instrument cluster.

All models are compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There’s a wireless phone charger for the EX and above trims. Features like Kia Connect and Harman Kardon sound system are only available for the flagship model.

Tech and Safety


The new lineup has improved its standard safety features, adding quite a few driving assists into the mix. Features like tire pressure monitoring, hill assist control, rearview camera, and rear occupant alert are now available for all trims. The GT Line Limited has a smart cruise control system, the only trim with such a feature.

There’s blind-spot monitoring, lane-follow assist, and a driver attention alert system for the EX and higher trims. The GT Line Limited is the only model with Advanced forward collision-avoidance assistance with a junction turning function. All models count on six airbags as standard, as well as ABS and forward collision avoidance assist.
